check the hdd spindle motor to ensure its safety
In this lesson, we will examine the hard drive motor to ensure whether it is safe or not, and the method is simpleBy measuring the resistance of the points connected to the motor wires, see the following images:
**** Hidden Message *****
The points at which the motor is tested are shown in the image. Note that the points are numbered with the letters A, B, C, and CT
We use the avometer in ohm mode to measure the hdd 3.5 . We find the following measurements, so the motor is in good condition.
The resistance between point CT and points A, B, and C is given as 0.90 ohms, and the resistance between point A and point B, as well as the resistance
Between point B and point C, as well as the resistance between point A and point C, is given as 1.70 ohms
The problem appears when the temperature is high due to a problem in the motor wire and the resistance between the points approaches zero
When the resistance between the points is high, this means a break in the motor wire.
For 2.5 hard disks, the measurements are as follows. We use the avometer in ohm mode, and when we find the following measurements, the motor is healthy.
The resistance between point CT and points A, B, and C is given 1.97 ohms, and the resistance between point A and point B, as well as the resistance between point B and point C,
as well as the resistance between point A and point C, is given 3.62 ohms.
The problem appears when the temperature is high due to a problem in the motor wire and the resistance between the points approaches zero
When the resistance between the points is high, this means a break in the motor wire.
It is noted that the measurements increase or decrease at a slight rate depending on the type of avometer
